Epithelial cells are one of the animal tissues which are present outside of the organs, blood vessels as the outer line of those organs. They are also present in the inner surface of body cavities in some internal organs like epidermis. The main function of epithelial cell is to prevent organs of animal body. Epithelial cells are mainly of three types. They are: Cuboidal, Squamous and Columnar epithelial cells. Secretion, absorption, sensing, trans cellular transport and sensing are the function of epithelial cells apart from protecting organs.
